This 1890 Victorian house, once the manor house for the surrounding properties, was suffering from years of neglect. Visionary new owners had it restored to its former glory, while updating the interior and systems to contemporary standards.
Starting with an empty and stripped shell, the exterior was wrapped and redone. The sagging porch removed and rebuilt. Period details were documented and duplicated. A new covered entry and 3-season porch were added. On the interior the floor plan was reconfigured to suit the needs of the new owners, including installation of a four-stop residential elevator. With historically accurate colors and detailing, and all new systems and finishes, this ‘grand dame’ again stands proud.
