Family Flow

Family Flow

They loved everything else about the house, but the congested entry and kitchen just weren’t working for this couple with two young children. There was no connection to the outdoors, the entry was awkward, and circulation cris-crossed through the kitchen, which felt isolated from the rest of the house. The bathroom was undesirably located adjacent to the kitchen.

By relocating the bath to a small closet space beneath the front stair and reconfiguring the circulation patterns and kitchen layout, we were able to provide the clients with a free-flowing space with a sunny breakfast nook, and efficient working kitchen, and access to a new back deck.
