This project involved restoring a two-family rental to its original use as a single-family home through extensive interior renovations.
The second-floor kitchen was converted into a primary bedroom and bath. The remaining second floor spaces were fully renovated: stripped to studs and new utilities installed along with drywall and finishes.
Select walls were removed on the first-floor to allow clear line of site through the spaces, while the kitchen, being recently redone, was left in place. The existing three-quarter bath was replaced with a small powder room. All interior finishes, including formerly lowered ceilings, were removed, systems updated, and new drywall, trim, and finishes provided.
